Bachelder Niagara

Bachelder
Terroir hunter Thomas Bachelder and Mary Delaney craft refined, subtle, and elegantly textured wines that express the essence of Niagara with minimal intervention. The focus at Bachelder is on Bourgogne varietals as a lens to explore the specific terroir of silt, clay and dolomitic limestone-laced ancient lakebed soils of Niagara, vinified plot by plot. Their good natured presentation (always with map in hand) and exceptional knowledge of winemaking and soils is unmatched in conversation. Thomas was recently awarded the 2025 Karl Kaiser Canadian Winemaker Award which celebrates greatly talented Canadian winemakers, in honor of the legacy of the late Karl Kaiser, a Canadian wine industry pioneer and viticultural visionary.
